We regret to tell everyone in our community that Go Play with Your Food in Glens Falls will be closing permanently after Saturday, April 19.

This week is our final week of operation as the owners are moving out of the area and hope to reopen in Florida once they have relocated.
Three years since the idea was formed, we have created a thriving business with wonderful clients spanning hockey fans, Friday-night Magic card players, and our Wednesday regulars. We appreciate everyone who joined our amazing gaming community.
 
The ability to manage a full-time restaurant is challenging under the best of situations and would be near impossible from such a distance.
Please bring in all those Gift Cards this week as we will be open full regular hours except for Easter Sunday. Refunds are available if you don’t have time to hang out!
 
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the staff, additional owners, local business community and every single customer who made us what we are today. We could not have done it without you. You will all be missed greatly.
 
While this is goodbye for us, we are going to be actively seeking a new owner/operator to either take over for us with the same concept, or if desired a brand-new restaurant.
 
We want nothing but the best for our “Hometown, USA” as we plan our next steps. Keep watching this page for more information and possibly a new location in Florida!

Go Play with Your Food is a unique restaurant concept that encourages diners to not only enjoy a delicious meal but to also engage in interactive board games with their group. The restaurant aims to create a relaxed, enjoyable and fun atmosphere for families and parties of all ages. 

Card game enthusiasts will enjoy our selection of Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards, providing a hub for trading, playing, and collecting. Additionally, we stock a wide array of Lego sets, perfect for creative building and imaginative play. Go Play with Your Food is a unique, family-friendly destination that seamlessly combines dining and entertainment.

Meet the Owners

Charles Ives, Angela Sweet, Jason Wescoat, Kristen Shaw, Kevin Malinoski, & Mark Shaw

The group of friends spent several game nights together which quickly turned into an obsession of starting their own collection. They purchased over 600 board games and from there, Go Play with Your Food was in the works! Bringing the first board game tavern to Upstate New York, Go Play with Your Food is open 7-days a week for a unique, family-friendly experience. You don’t have to be a board game expert to have fun here. Our staff is full of board game enthusiasts who are happy to help teach you.
